Strategic Housing Market Assessment (SHMA)
Together, Rushmoor Borough Council, Hart District Council and Surrey Heath Borough Council form a single housing market area (HMA). The purpose of the Strategic Housing Market Assessment (SHMA) is to identify 'objectively assessed' housing needs across the housing market area between 2014 to 2032. The study also looks at the need for affordable and specialist housing, as well as the requirements for different sizes of home.

Rushmoor Gypsy and Traveller Accommodation Assessment (2012)
The Rushmoor Gypsy and Traveller accommodation assessment (2012) is an independent assessment of the need for Gypsy, Traveller and Travelling Showpeople accommodation in Rushmoor for the period 2012-2017.
In 2015, the Council re-visited existing travelling showpeople yards in the Borough to understand their specific needs and this information informed the Local Plan site allocations for travelling showpeople accommodation.
