Refurbishment of the crematorium

We are carrying out a major refurbishment of the Aldershot Crematorium and this will last until Spring 2025.

All funeral services are now being held at the chapels in Redan Road Cemetery. Cremations are continuing to take place at the crematorium. Our crematorium grounds are still open for visitors, but the hall of remembrance is closed. Our books of remembrance are available online.

Find out more by visiting our Refurbishment of Aldershot Crematorium page.

Our funerals are held at Redan Road Cemetery

The newly refurbished Victorian chapels at Redan Road Cemetery enjoy a tranquil setting, just a seven-minute drive from the crematorium. One chapel is used for funeral services, and the other as a waiting room, with toilets and an office area.

There is free on-street parking for around 50 cars on Redan Road, just a minute’s walk away.

The main chapel can accommodate up to 60 people, with capacity for an additional 30 people to watch the service on a screen in the neighbouring chapel.

Redan Chapel can accommodate all cultures, traditions and beliefs.

The length of each service is 30 minutes (if you require a longer service time this can be arranged, subject to availability).

Floral tributes

A floral tributes area is available slightly away from the chapel, offering a quiet place for family and friends to gather immediately after the service. Any tributes not collected by family or funeral directors on the day of the service will be moved by our team to a separate area and removed after four days.

Access

The chapel offers two accessible parking spaces, an accessible toilet, and wheelchair access (please arrange in advance). There is no hearing loop available.

If you cannot attend a service

Watch via webcam

If family or friends are unable to attend the service, we have a webcam available.

We provide an internet link and password details and up to 150 people can then view the service online.

Permission to use the webcam service must come from the person arranging the funeral. They will be given details of how to view the service and can pass the information to mourners who want to view online.

If the funeral service has been recorded, we offer it on a DVD/Blu-ray/USB/Audio CD.

If you are at a funeral
