The Rushmoor Local Plan

The Rushmoor Local Plan contains planning policies to shape development and land use in Aldershot and Farnborough.

Adoption of the Rushmoor Local Plan

We adopted the Rushmoor Local Plan on 21 February 2019. This provides the overarching spatial strategy for Rushmoor, guiding the location, scale and type of future development up to 2032, as well as providing detailed development management policies.

Consultation on and examination of the draft local plan

We published the draft submission version of the Local Plan for public consultation between Friday 9 June and Friday 21 July 2017.

We submitted the plan and all the representations we received during the consultation to the Planning Inspectorate for examination on 2 February 2018.  You can find out more on our Rushmoor Local Plan examination page.

The Rushmoor Local Plan has replaced the Rushmoor Core Strategy, which was adopted in 2011.

Supplementary planning documents (SPDs)

Supplementary planning documents set out more detailed guidance on specific issues or for specific places in Rushmoor, and provide developers with more information about how to comply with the Local Plan policies.
