The Rushmoor Plan

The Rushmoor Plan is a collection of documents that contains planning policies to shape development and land use in Aldershot and Farnborough.

The emerging Rushmoor Local Plan

In October 2014, we took the decision to pursue a new, single Rushmoor Local Plan that will provide the overarching spatial strategy for Rushmoor, guiding the location, scale and type of future development up to 2032, as well as providing detailed development management policies.

Examination of the Rushmoor Local Plan

We published the draft submission version of the Local Plan for public consultation between Friday 9 June and Friday 21 July 2017, inclusive. We submitted the plan and all the representations we received during the consultation to the Planning Inspectorate for examination on 2 February 2018.  You can find out more on our Rushmoor Local Plan examination page.

The Rushmoor Core Strategy (adopted 2011)

The Rushmoor Core Strategy is at the heart of the current Rushmoor Plan and was adopted in October 2011.   It contains a vision for the future of Rushmoor and the main policies that establish the principles for how we will achieve this.  The Core Strategy remains in place until the adoption of a new Rushmoor Local Plan.
