Find out why we have a community safety partnership and how it helps us tackle crime, disorder and antisocial behaviour.
We are part of the Safer North Hampshire Community Safety Partnership.
Community safety partnerships are made up of agencies who have a legal responsibility to tackle crime, disorder and antisocial behaviour.
Other members of the Safer North Hampshire include:
- Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council
- Hart District Council
- Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary
- Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service
- Frimley Integrated Care Board
- Hampshire and Isle of Wight Integrated Care Board
- The Probation Service
- Army
Strategic assessments
All community safety partnerships must complete an annual strategic assessment. We have 2 for our area:
- Rushmoor Strategic Assessment 2023/24 (published August 2024)
- Safer North Hampshire Strategic Assessment (currently pending update)
These are an assessment of crime and disorder in the area. These assessments allow us as a community safety partnership to respond more effectively to the community, plan activity, allocate resources and deliver activities that focus on priorities and achieve results.
A strategic assessment informs the annual partnership plan.
Partnership plan
Please read our Safer North Hampshire Community Safety Partnership Plan, which shows how we and our partners will work to tackle the priorities throughout the year. This document is currently pending update.
Serious violence
All community safety partnerships must work together to tackle serious violence under the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Act 2022.
We are part of the wider Hampshire Violence Reduction Unit who publish a Serious Violence Response Strategy for Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
We also produce a Strategic Needs Assessment. This tries to understand the picture of serious violence in our local area, as well as the cause of violence.
