About the election

In Rushmoor for the general election we elect a member of parliament for the Aldershot constituency.

As well as our towns of Aldershot and Farnborough, the constituency includes Blackwater and parts of Yateley.

Who can vote

You can vote in the general election if:

  • You hold a British, Irish, or qualifying Commonwealth citizenship and live in the UK
  • Or you are registered as an overseas voter

You cannot vote in the general election if:

  • You are an EU citizen (unless you are from the Republic of Ireland, Malta or Cyprus)
