What we charge for planning advice, applications and information.
Pre-application advice
Like most other councils, we charge for providing pre-application advice to developers and householders. Our charges are based on the cost of providing the service and reflect the officer time used in discussion and response.
For more details of this service and the fees, see our pre-application advice page.
Planning application fees
When you apply for planning permission, you will have to pay a fee. How much you pay will depend on the type and size of the proposed development.
If you are submitting your planning application through the Planning Portal, you must pay through the portal. We cannot take the fee for any Planning Portal applications.
If you are applying by post or email, you can pay online by credit or debit card through our make a payment page.
