Small grants focussing on connecting communities, physical activity, mental health and raising skills and confidence in local communities.

Each ward in Rushmoor has a budget of £3,000 to award grants to local voluntary organisations/community groups or projects that provide a benefit to the local community to enable them to achieve their local objectives.

Grant applications must focus on specific projects or events (including councillor-led projects) in the ward/local community which encourage:

  • Connecting communities, for example:
    • Reducing social isolation and loneliness
    • Digital inclusion, such as reducing barriers through digital opportunities
    • Integration and inclusion of diverse communities
    • Bringing people together
    • Encouraging volunteering/getting involved
  • Physical activity
  • Mental health
  • Raising skills and confidence, for example providing courses for those who couldn’t afford to attend

You can use the grant for one-off projects, equipment, or resources.

You cannot use the grant for projects that already exist or for general running costs of your organisation.

Councillors in each ward are encouraged support a variety of groups and projects.

The ward grant scheme is now open. It will close on 28 February 2023. You can submit your application below.

Please note, organisations will only be awarded one council grant in a financial year (a community, ward or Farnborough airport community environmental fund grant) (financial year runs April to March).
