We offer help and support to landlords to make sure that rented homes in Aldershot and Farnborough are safe and well-managed.
Landlords' forums
Our next landlords' forum will be taking place on Wednesday 30 September at the council offices in Farnborough from 6.30pm to 8.30pm (arrive from 6pm). There is free onsite parking and food and refreshments will be provided.
Guest speakers from:
- National Residential Landlords Association with key updates on legislation changes and information on free training opportunities for landlords
- Lettings and revenue specialists, Dutton and Gregory Solicitors with information on the private rented sector
There will also be representatives from our housing options team and private sector housing team.
To find out more and let us know that you are attending, go to our Rushmoor Landlords' Forum booking page.
Show you are a responsible landlord
Landlords can also join the Landlord Accreditation Scheme to improve their knowledge of the sector and to show tenants that they are a good landlord. For details, see the National Residential Landlords Association website.
Minimum energy efficiency standards
If you are selling or letting a property, you will need an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC).
Landlords are not allowed to let properties with an EPC rating of F or G, even if there is an existing tenant. Unless there is a registered exemption.
For more information, visit the landlord guidance on minimum energy efficiency standards on the GOV.UK website.
