St Michaels Abbey Conservation Area is an area designated as having special architectural or historic interest, the character of which it is desirable to preserve and enhance.
The Conservation Area was first designated in 1977 and subsequently reviewed in 1989.
There is currently no adopted Character Appraisal and Management Plan supporting this designation or boundary.
The Rushmoor Local Plan commits the Council to reviewing its conservation areas. As part of this process the council consulted on a draft Character Appraisal and Management Plan for public consultation in late 2021 and is currently considering the responses received.
