Looking for work can seem daunting, especially if you haven't worked for a while, or have recently been made redundant. 

In Rushmoor there is lots of support available, you can find out where and when our job clubs run on our timetable of employment support.  We have also listed below these and other organisations that can help you back into work.

My Space - Digital skills to pay the bills

My Space is delivered by the The Vine in Aldershot, and provides support in helping you back to work. The team provide a whole range of services including:

  • Identifying skills
  • Writing CVs
  • Applying for jobs online
  • Practicing interview skills

They can help to support you to apply for fast fill jobs and can provide links to online training resources.

PEBL Skills Cafe

The Pebl Skills Cafe is now open every Wednesdays from 10am to 12:30pm at the Prospect Community Centre, Mayfield Road, Gu14 8UA. The team of advisers can help you access support and apply for jobs.

Links to Work M3

Links to Work M3 is a programme to help you find suitable employment, this programme is open to anyone over the age of 16 who is currently unemployed. They will work with you to identify your strengths, skills and abilities and support you with any barriers to employment.  You will be assigned your own adviser, who will work with you to create a tailored support package that's right for you. Fedcap - Restart Scheme

The Restart Scheme provides tailored support to help you find work if you have been claiming Universal Credit for 12 to 18 months. You can access:

  • Your own dedicated employment adviser who will stay with you every step of the way
  • Specialist recruitment advice
  • Access to local employment opportunities
  • Ongoing assessments to understand your needs
  • Access to our online career portal, the Fedcap Hub
  • A range of personal support from local and specialist services
  • Financial health support and budgeting
  • Business start up and self-employment advice
  • Skills support and training
  • Improved job searching skills
  • Access to our Wellbeing Support team

If you would like to access this scheme please speak to your Job centre Plus Work Coach and they will refer you.

CAP Job Club  - Church of the Good Shepherd, Farnborough

Starting Thursday 23 September at 7pm, the Church of the Good Shepherd will be offering support for people looking to find employment, this will include:

  • Writing CV and covering letters
  • Building confidence 
  • Interview techniques
  • Job searching

Job Club Lite

Each Tuesday afternoon, expert help is on hand to discuss CV's, job hunting or anything that can help you find a job.  To book a slot call or text the number below.

National Careers Service

The National Careers Service offers free advice and guidance on careers, skills and the labour market for all adults. To make a free telephone appointment or find out more about what support they offer, call 0800 100 900. Rushmoor Online Job Club
