High Street, Aldershot will be closed from 17 June until 26 July, between Court Road and the car wash, to allow for the completion of Union Yard.

Traffic diversions will be in place via Wellington Avenue and Princes Way, and Grosvenor Road, Victoria Road, Heathland Street, Birchett Road and Station Road. There will also be local pedestrian diversions in place as the pavements will be closed.

The bus stops on High Street opposite the Princes Gardens Surgery will be out of use, with temporary pick-up and drop-off points provided in Princes Way.

Access will remain open as normal to the High Street multi-storey and Princes Gardens car parks, and there will be no changes to the taxi ranks.

Servicing arrangements for shops via Wellington Street will also remain available.

We have been liaising with Hampshire County Council to make sure disruption is kept to a minimum, but if you have any queries, please contact Nick Irvine, Head of Regeneration and Development, at nick.irvine@rushmoor.gov.uk or 01252 398 739.

Update from 17 July - the road closure has been extended from the original five weeks, by a further week, until the 26 July.
