If you already have a plot in one of our allotments, you will need to get permission from us if you’d like to add a shed.

Once you have filled in this form, we will look over the information and let you know if it is ok to put a shed on your allotment plot.

Terms and conditions

Before you can put a shed on your allotment you need to look through the following terms and agree that:

  • The maximum size of your shed will be 1.8m (6 feet) long by 1.2m (4 feet) wide and no higher than 2m (6 feet 6 inches)
  • Your shed will have a removable solid base
  • Your shed is new or in a good condition and is safe
  • The position of your shed on your plot will not put other plots on the allotment in shade
  • Your shed will be fixed securely to the ground to prevent movement or falling over
  • Your shed and its contents will be at the plot holders risk
  • Your shed will not have glass windows, instead they will be made of perspex or a polycarbonate
  • You will Install gutters on the shed and they will be connected to at least one water butt to collect rainwater
