We offer a discretionary rate relief to encourage business growth in Aldershot and Farnborough.
About growth incentive relief
We want to encourage business growth, the creation of new employment opportunities and to attract new businesses into the borough.
We also want to support out towns by encouraging new or expanding businesses into long-term vacant commercial properties.
To do this, we have introduced a discretionary business rate relief, growth incentive relief policy.
Businesses eligible for growth incentive relief
You may be eligible for growth incentive relief on your business rates if your property is:
- A new commercial property
- An extension to an existing commercial property
- A commercial property that has been vacant for more than 12 months
Our Cabinet considers each application on its own merits, based on the information you provide and any other relevant information that may be available.
