Aldershot has a mix of high street names and independent businesses.
What's there
The town centre is home to The Wellington shopping centre, Westgate Leisure Park and Cineworld cinema.
You can also enjoy live entertainment and music at the Princes Hall theatre and the West End Centre.
Aldershot market takes place on Thursdays. We also host craft fayres in Aldershot and on Sundays there is the Rushmoor car boot sale.
Events
Throughout the year, the town centre hosts a packed calendar of events. Our community bandstand in Princes Gardens is also available to use and hosts a variety of community events.

Parking
There is plenty of car parking in the town centre. For more information visit our parking pages.
There are covered cycle parking areas outside Morrisons in Westgate and in Court Road, next to the High Street car park.
Vehicle access
Aldershot town centre is mostly pedestrianised and access is through automatic bollards at the:
- Top of Union Street
- Corner of Wellington Street/High Street
- Corner of Wellington Street/Victoria Road
If you need access for your vehicle, you must email towncentremanager@rushmoor.gov.uk and tell us:
- Date and time you need access
- Registration details of the vehicle being used to access the site
- A contact phone number
We need to receive this information at least 24 hours before you require access to the site. We do not allow access on Thursdays, unless you are a market stallholder.
Regeneration
The town centre is being transformed as part of a major regeneration project led by the council. Union Yard will provide new homes, retail and public space, a new maker’s yard and accommodation for local students. Further information is available on our town centres and regeneration pages.
