Cabinet member for Pride in Place and Neighbourhood Services, Councillor Christine Guinness, and the Cabinet Champion for Pride in Place, Councillor Lisa Greenway, will be handing out leaflets and poo bags and talking to dog owners between 11am and 1pm, in Manor Park, Aldershot, on Monday (14 April) and King George V Playing Fields in Farnborough, on Wednesday (16 April).

Although we know that the vast majority of dog owners clean up after their pets, there are a small number who don’t consider the consequences of leaving their dog poo behind - including the health risks to humans and other animals.

Our Place Protection Officers (PPOs) will also be out and about in the parks on both days, and to add a bit of fun to proceedings with a serious message, Councillor Greenway will be donning a special poo outfit!

The "Scoop That Poop" campaign follows an increase in the number of complaints about dog fouling the council is receiving. If caught, irresponsible dog owners could face fines if caught not cleaning up after their dogs.
