Walk This Waste trial

As part of a commitment to create clean, safe neighbourhoods, Rushmoor Borough Council will run a trial on two mornings in December to collect bulky waste items for free to help reduce fly-tipping and help those without transport to dispose of waste items.

Rushmoor Borough Council statement on Savoy Place

Rushmoor Borough Council has been informed that Newham Borough Council has now signed an agreement to lease apartments in Savoy Place in Farnborough, from the private owners, to use as temporary accommodation for homeless families from the London borough. The Council wishes to make clear that it does not have any power to prevent this arrangement.

Severe Weather Emergency Protocol

As we have had a period of cold weather, we operated our Severe Weather Emergency Protocol (SWEP) to provide overnight accommodation for anyone sleeping rough in Aldershot and Farnborough so that they can get inside and out of the freezing cold.

Hillside Place

The Home office has informed the council that it will no longer be using Hillside Place in Farnborough for the dispersal of asylum seekers. Once the lease expires, the current residents of the site will be rehomed and their welfare and accommodation will continue to be provided by the Home Office.
