As part of our preparation for the new Local Plan, we will be holding three consultations. Each consultation will provide an opportunity for those who live and work in Rushmoor and other stakeholders to have their say.
About the consultations
Scoping consultation
The first consultation, the scoping consultation, was held for six weeks between 19 June and 31 July 2026. It sought views on what we should include in the new Local Plan and how we should approach future engagement.
We are currently reviewing all the responses received.
We also prepared a Sustainability Appraisal/Strategic Environmental Assessment Scoping Report and a Habitats Regulations Assessment Pre-Screening Report. These are available to view on our Evidence supporting the new Local Plan page.
Content and evidence consultation
The second consultation, the content and evidence consultation, will be open for six weeks in February/March 2027 and will be seeking views on a draft vision, the proposed aims and objectives, a proposed spatial strategy approach, and the evidence that has already been gathered and that we intend to gather.
Proposed Local Plan consultation
The third consultation, the proposed Local Plan consultation, will be open for eight weeks in January/March 2028 and will be seeking views on the draft Local Plan and the evidence that has been gathered to support it.
