If you are planning to show a film to the public that it is not classified by the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC), you can ask us to provide an age rating for the film.

If you show films to the public, each film must be classified by law to say what the age restriction is for it under the Licensing Act 2003.

If the film is classified by the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC), you must restrict entry to the official classification.

If the film is not classified by the BBFC and you are planning to show it in Rushmoor, you can ask us to provide an age rating.

If you would like us to do this, you will need to provide a copy of the film in a viewable format e.g. DVD, web link, USB. (We cannot accept Blu-ray).

If your film is not in English, you will need to make sure the copy you provide has suitable subtitles in English.

We charge a film classifcation fee for this, which you must pay when you submit the film. We will also need your contact details.

Please contact us for details of how to submit your film and pay the fee.

We ask for up to 28 days to view the film and provide you with an age rating.
