We are making strong progress against our 2026/27 Delivery Plan, with 18 of 23 priorities on track at the end of quarter one.
The latest quarterly performance report, covering April to June 2026, shows positive progress across the Council’s five priority themes of Skills, Economy and Regeneration, Homes for All, Community and Wellbeing, Pride in Place, and the Future and Financial Sustainability.
Key achievements in the first quarter include confirmation of approximately £100,000 in funding from the Department for Work and Pensions to support a new Youth Hub for 16 to 25-year-olds, successful delivery of the National Armed Forces Day, the start of works to bring Loungers to The Meads, and commencement of work on the new Farnborough Pools & Fitness Centre following planning approval.
The report also highlights successful community and wellbeing activity, including the distribution of the Young at Heart booklet across the borough, the delivery of events celebrating local communities, and the development of new programmes to support families and residents experiencing mental health challenges.
Progress has also been made on neighbourhood improvements, with playground renewal projects agreed for six playgrounds across the borough, and projects being progressed as a result of grant funding from the Keep Britain Tidy Chewing Gum Taskforce.
With the majority of priorities on track, the Council has set out actions to address delivery risks in others, including progressing landlord engagement and re-establishing health partnership work where arrangements have changed.

From securing funding to support young people into work, to moving forward major regeneration and leisure projects, there has been real momentum across the organisation. We are also clear about the areas where more work is needed and will continue to focus on delivering improvements for residents, businesses and communities across Rushmoor.”
The Council's annual report for the 2025/26 has also been published, summarising how priorities were met last year, providing a strong foundation for the progress made in the first quarter of 2026/27. The report highlights achievements across regeneration, community support, environmental improvements, and financial stewardship. These successes included continued investment in town centres, delivery of projects to improve local places, support for residents and voluntary groups, and work to strengthen the Council’s long-term sustainability.
