Find out about our workforce profile and the figures for our gender and ethnicity pay gaps.

Workforce data

We publish information about our staff and the community in our workforce profile. This shows the make up of our staff including their age, sex, religion and ethnic group.

Gender pay gap

For the year ending 31 March 2024, women working for us:

  • Earned 90p for every £1 that men earned (comparing median hourly pay)
  • Made up 50% of employees in the highest paid quarter, and 71% of employees in the lowest paid quarter

Anyone who employs more than 250 employees is required to report gender pay gap data.

Our gender pay gap report shows full information about our employees in line with the Equality Act 2010 (Specific Duties and Public Authorities) Regulations 2017.

Ethnicity pay gap

For the year ending 31 March 2024:

  • The median ethnicity pay gap is 5.3%. The non-white median rate being lower than the white median rate
  • The mean ethnicity pay gap is 12.7%. The non-white average salary being lower than the white average salary

We have calculated our ethnicity pay gap by comparing the average pay of our white employees with that of our employees from ethnic minority groups.

There is no legal requirement for us to publish our ethnicity pay gap. However, we have decided to publish this data because we believe it’s a step towards making sure our workforce is diverse, inclusive, and fair for everyone.

Our ethnicity pay gap report shows the information about our employees and we have calculated it in line with the Equality Act 2010 (Specific Duties and Public Authorities) Regulations 2017.
