To be able to bid for social housing, you must first join the housing register.
If you are on the housing register
Once you are on the housing register, we will give you a unique reference number to apply for a housing association home through Rushmoor Home Finder.
How to find a home on Rushmoor Home Finder
Every week we advertise available homes on the Rushmoor Home Finder website.
Every week you can see and bid for homes from the start of Thursday. Bidding then closes at the end of Sunday, at midnight.
You must look for a place to live and place a bid for what you think is right for you. We do not match customers to homes ourselves.
If you find a suitable home
You must bid for the property using the Rushmoor Home Finder website.
You can bid for up to three properties within each bidding period.
You can also withdraw a bid or move a bid to another property during the bidding period.
What happens after the bidding closes
If you are successful in your bid, we will pass on your details to the housing association. They will then contact you directly and you will be invited to view the property.
If, during a 12-month period you are successful three times, but refuse the property offered, you will not be able to select again for 12 months.

- Upload all documents early to avoid delays
- Check your email regularly for updates
- Check every week - the right home may become available for you
- Only bid on properties that you want to live in
- Keep your details up to date
- Read property details carefully before bidding
- Save up for your rent in advance payment - most housing associations will ask for a month's rent in advance
