About the Rushmoor Voices group

Our councillors are working together to understand community concerns and address community cohesion issues in Aldershot and Farnborough. We are calling this work Rushmoor Voices.

This followed a motion at council in August where there was cross-party support on setting up a working party.

The group has its own terms of reference, which explains what it is aiming to achieve.

Working with Belong Network

We have been working with an organisation called Belong Network to help us deliver a work plan for community engagement. They have visited a number of local community groups and residents, interviewed officers and councillors and run a public meeting.

They have produced a report on the Rushmoor Voices project and explained their observations and suggested a number of steps to address community engagement issues.

We will be working on the proposals in their report, over the coming months.

This work is being funded by the Community Recovery Grant that we received from the government. We will shortly be sharing a report outlining what we have spent to date and our planned future spending.

Rushmoor Voices - How to get involved

We are encouraging any residents or groups interested in contributing to positive change in our community to get involved. If you would like to join the Rushmoor Voices group, please contact us using the details below.
