Parking for disabled drivers

If you are disabled or have problems getting around, you may be able to apply for a blue badge.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) - changes to parking

From Friday 19 June our parking team will be out issuing warning notices to vehicles they see parked unlawfully and inappropriately. They will not be issuing Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs)

The warning notices will be for offences such as parking on double yellow lines, in loading bays, taxi ranks, in disabled bays without a badge, and in front of a dropped kerb.

Car parks are still free parking

Our pay and display areas, including our car parks and on-street parking will remain free of charge until further notice.

Residents' parking areas

We are not currently enforcing or issuing penalty charge notices in residents' parking areas. We will soon be writing to all residents within these areas to update you on the new permit system that we will introduce and how this affects you. Please continue to use your current parking permits, even if they have expired.

Please visit our Coronavirus (COVID-19) page for more information about how the pandemic is affecting our services.

If you have a blue badge, you can park in designated parking bays  throughout Aldershot and Farnborough and, in some circumstances, park on single or double yellow lines.

To apply for a blue badge please visit the Hampshire County Council - Blue badge website.

Parking charges for blue badge holders in our car parks

All blue badge holders have to pay parking charges in our car parks. This change came into effect on 1 November 2014.

You can park in on-street parking spaces free-of-charge in appropriate locations without any restrictions as long as you display a valid blue badge.

For more information visit our Blue badge parking in council car parks page.
