Fees for planning information

Documents available free-of-charge

The following documents and information are available free-of-charge:

• Planning decision notices - you can search for any applications after 1991 using our online planning application search. 
• Planning appeal decisions - you can search for these using our online planning application search. They are listed by the planning reference number
• Tree Preservation Orders - these are on our Tree Preservation Orders page and are listed by order number
• Weekly list of planning applications 

Documents we charge for

Our building regulation application decisions and completion certificates are only available in paper. We charge £22 for each document, including VAT.

Research

Any research work we do will be an office-based study only. We will not visit the site.

We will base our charges on the time needed to carry out the work and will let you know how much it will cost before we start.

We reserve the right not to carry out the work if the Head of Planning feels that we do not have enough resources to deal with the request.

Replies to written requests from solicitors, developers or professional agents

We charge £45 to reply to written requests from solicitors, developers or professional agents. We also charge for individual documents or extra research. These charges do not include VAT.
