We have reviewed the polling place in Fernhill FB polling district and it is moving to The Ferns Primary Academy.
We carried out a review of the polling place in Fernhill FB, as the feedback received following the parliamentary election in July 2024 identified that The Fox Inn, Chapel Lane was not suitable.
Potential alternative arrangements
The Ferns Primary Academy, Field Road, Farnborough is located in the Fernhill FB polling district and was identified as a potential alternative polling place.
Outcome of the review
We considered the responses to our survey at our Elections Group meeting on 23 September. Our recommendations were considered by the Licensing and Corporate Business Committee on 21 October.
The committee supported our recommendation that the polling place for Fernhill FB is moved to The Ferns Primary Academy, Field Road, Farnborough, GU14 9FX for future elections.
It was also agreed that:
- A map showing the location of the Ferns Academy (formerly Fernhill Primary School) would be included with the poll card for the next election
- Additional signage from the main road to the school would be provided on polling day to assist electors
