PlayFest! is an amazing action-packed day of fun, hands-on play and discovery for all ages in Aldershot.
There are oodles of free activities to enjoy throughout the town centre on Saturday 29 August from 10am to 4pm. It’s free!
Activities on offer
Take on the challenge of building a spectacular giant sculpture, jump behind the DJ decks and mix your own tunes, crawl, climb and explore the exciting adventure cave, and be amazed by explosive mad science shows packed with bangs, bubbles and surprises!

- Learn awesome karate moves from the experts
- Get your hands gooey making colourful slime
- Let your imagination run wild with creative crafts
- Meet real beekeepers and learn about their buzzing bees
- Journey into magical storytelling adventures
- Get your hands dirty with some gardening
- Strum, sing and join in with ukulele jammin'
- Laugh, gasp and join the fun with pop-up performances
Families can also enjoy a fantastic programme of free workshops under the bandstand. Try something new, discover a hidden talent, get creative and make memories together.
All activities are free. Children must be accompanied at all times and activities are subject to change. Please check the signs at each activity station during your visit for timings.
The event is funded and managed by Rushmoor Borough Council.

Plan your day ahead of time by checking out our workshops.
Families can take part in these wonderful workshops under the bandstand. Jump feet first into a world of pure creativity, make new friends and learn something new – from karate to drumming, dancing to games!
All our workshops are free and last about twenty minutes each.
Children must be accompanied by their guardians at all times and cannot be left alone. Please wear loose and comfy clothes.
Please arrive to the bandstand ten minutes before the session start time. Once the workshops are full, they’re full!
