Business grants available during coronavirus

Apply for a discretionary Business Support Top-Up Grant for your business.

Business Support Top-Up Grant

If your business is still struggling with financial hardship due to the coronavirus pandemic, you can apply for a discretionary grant from us. You will need to show that you have had at least a 50 per cent decrease in income between January, February and March this year and the same three months in 2020.

The grant is for up to £3,000 and is based on the rateable value of your business premise. If it is not within the business rates system, the grant will be based on your business' monthly fixed costs.

It does not matter if you have previously received an Additional Restrictions Grant or Local Restrictions Support Grant from us.

We will take into account any previous business grants you may have received, when we look at your loss of income. However, business interruption loans are not included.

Your business must have fewer than 250 employees across the overall business.

Pubs, restaurants and cafes

You can also apply for this Business Support Top-Up Grant, if you have a pub, restaurant or café and you have, or are looking to open an outdoor seating area. The grant can also be used to help provide a Covid-secure indoor area at the venue.

You must have a valid licence for your pub, restaurant or café. All your works carried out or planned, must also be complaint with our requirements, including for planning and licensing.
