You need to apply before 28 February for this one-off payment for hospitality, leisure, and accommodation businesses.

Additional restrictions grant

Last year the government announced that a small amount of additional funding will be made available to us, to support businesses from all sectors that have been severely impacted by the Omicron variant. This includes businesses both inside and outside of the business rates system.

Who can apply

This funding is available for your businesses if you can show that it has been significantly affected by the government's response to the Covid-19 Omicron variant in December.

Your business will also need to have fixed costs which are not related to employment. These are any costs relating to the operation of a business that cannot be cancelled. This could include costs such as rent for non-rateable commercial properties, premises, utilities and insurance. Fixed costs do not include employee costs.

Only businesses located within our area will be eligible for this scheme from us.

Apply for an additional restrictions grant

We are still finalising the scheme and the amount of grant that we can pay to businesses, but we are accepting applications.

When applying you will need to explain how your business has been affected by the Omicron variant, including how much income your business has lost since 1 December 2021.

The deadline for applying is 4 February, when we will then make our decision on entitlement.
