Book the bandstand

Community groups can book the bandstand for free, however we do charge a small fee for commercial events. Contact our town centre team using the details on this page to find out more.

Summer fun in the Princes Gardens bandstand

Free music takes place every Saturday over the summer months from midday to 2pm at the community bandstand. Check back early in 2019 to find out which bands will be performing during the summer.

History of the bandstand

The Princes Gardens bandstand was built to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee in 2012. The design was chosen by local people and the bandstand was officially opened on Saturday 2 June 2012 at the town's Victoria Day jubilee celebrations.
