Community is a committed supporter of our armed forces community, and previously ran a national campaign focusing on the issue of veteran homelessness.
Our union President, Andrew ‘Reg’ Gutteridge, is an armed forces veteran, and previously moved a motion on the issue of support for veterans at Labour Party Conference. Within recent years, Community has been recognised with a prestigious Silver Employer Recognition Scheme Award from The Reserve Forces’ and Cadets’ Association for Greater London for supporting service personnel and the armed forces community.
We are very proud to support Armed Forces Day 2026, and acknowledge the enormous contribution veterans and serving armed forces personnel make to our communities all year round.
