We have issued our response to the request for an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) scoping request from Farnborough Airport.
This is a public document, and it is not an application for planning permission, but is part of the process of determining the main environmental issues that an Environmental Impact Assessment should focus on for a future planning application.
That application is expected to seek planning permission to increase non-weekday (i.e. weekends and public holidays) aircraft movements at Farnborough Airport within the current limit of 50,000 aircraft movements per annum, amend the maximum take-off weight categories, and amend the conditions related to airport public safety zones in line with the latest Government guidance.
You can view the details of the EIA scoping request, the information submitted in support of it and our formal response on our planning portal.
Please visit the GOV.UK - Environmental Impact Assessment page for further information on the EIA process and its purpose.
We know that local people will also want to give their views on future proposals for Farnborough Airport, and we will of course let you know as and when a formal planning application is submitted later this year, when members of the public will be formally consulted and invited to comment on the proposals.
