Our Rushmoor Climate Community group

Find out about and join our group to help us with climate, environmental and sustainability issues in Aldershot and Farnborough.

We would like you to be involved if you live, work or volunteer in Aldershot or Farnborough and want to support our target to be green and sustainable.

Aims of the group:

• To ENGAGE Rushmoor residents in caring for, protecting, and enhancing our natural environment
• To CONSULT and ask for opinions and feedback on Rushmoor Borough Council’s existing policies and help shape and inform future policies and plans
• To NETWORK & SHARE information & resources and form partnerships between people and organisations
• To CREATE initiatives by and for residents
• To RAISE AWARENESS of climate, environmental and sustainability issues across the community and beyond

We also send out ‘Rushmoor Climate Community Monthly Updates’, Which includes:

• Meeting Notes – A recap of key points from the latest RCC meeting
• News from Rushmoor Borough Council – Stay informed on initiatives we are undertaking
• Community Contributions – Updates and resources shared by group members
• Local events and Volunteering – Opportunities to get involved and make a difference
• Grant Opportunities – Find out what funding is available, from home energy efficiency to community project support
• Information on Consultations – Opportunities to have your say on things that matter to you

We hold meetings quarterly, and it's an opportunity for you to hear updates from us about the work we are all doing to tackle climate change locally. You will be able to give us your views, and work with us on local initiatives and help us raise awareness of environmental issues.
