There are public safety zones at either end of the runway at Farnborough airport. These are areas where development may be restricted.
The Department for Transport (DfT) published updated policy on the control of development in airport public safety zones in October 2021.
The updated policy has replaced the DfT Circular 01/2010, meaning there are changes to how the shape and size of public safety zones are defined.
In line with the updated policy, Farnborough Airport issued revised public safety zones to us on 6 December 2021 for Runway 24 and Runway 6.
