Getting out on your bike in Rushmoor

There are lots of safe routes to get you out an about locally without the hassle of traffic. These include:

  • The many off-road and shared paths around Farnborough
  • The shared pathway along the A325 between Aldershot and Farnborough
  • The cycle routes around the airport perimeter - this is a 7-mile, family friendly, traffic free route suitable for all bikes mainly on shared use pathways and quiet back roads. You can avoid the short section of road from Norris Hill roundabout to Eelmoor Bridge, by using the canal towpath
  • The roads around the Army golf course
  • Southwood Woodland
  • Basingstoke canal towpath
  • The Blackwater Valley path

Most of these routes are accessible on a hybrid type bike, and many on a road bike.

If you have a mountain bike, you would also be able to explore a little further taking in Caesars Camp, and Wellesley Woodlands.
