We have been working with an organisation called Belong Network to help us deliver a work plan for community engagement.

Belong have visited a number of local community groups and residents, interviewed officers and councillors and run a public meeting.

They have produced a report on the Rushmoor Voices project and explained their observations and suggested a number of steps to address community engagement issues.

Upcoming activities

  • Community engagement events with groups of local residents on a wide range of issues to do with community life
  • Business network events, and with other groups, around active local issues
  • A young peoples’ film project. Where young people can voice their views, feelings and hopes for our communities and the future
  • Development training sessions for the council and partner organisations. Based around the Belong Network’s national guidance on capacity building and skills for cohesion

This work is being funded by the Community Recovery Grant that we received from the government. Please see our Cabinet report from 25 July 2025 for more information.
