We have a memorial garden for babies and children at Aldershot Crematorium.
Our beautiful baby and children's memorial garden was created by Farnborough SANDS, the charity which supports people affected by the loss of a child at any age.
The garden was made possible thanks to the fundraising efforts of Farnborough SANDS members, generous donations from individuals and businesses, Rushmoor Borough Council and a grant from the Farnborough airport community environmental fund.
Garden design
The design features gentle curving paths that take the visitor on a journey through light feathery planting.
Plants have been carefully chosen to attract wildlife and provide year-round interest. Specimen trees and shrubs have brought structure and shelter to the area.
The garden includes modern sculptures, a moon bed where engraved pebbles can be laid, curved benches and a memorial wall, where visitors can light a candle for their loved one.
Cremated remains
We don't scatter any cremated remains in the memorial garden. After careful discussion with SANDS, we agreed to keep the garden as an area of remembrance.
With an appointment, you can scatter cremated remains in our special woodland scattering area.
