Victoria Day is back on Saturday 6 June from 10am to 4pm in Aldershot town centre. This year’s theme is ‘folklore and fairy tales’ and we’re ready for a magical day filled with storybook surprises from around the world.

What's on

Explore Princes Gardens, Union Street, Wellington Street and Union Yard to discover a treasure trove of free family activities, 60 craft and community stalls and whimsical live entertainment inspired by tales old and new.

Across the town centre, a lively mix of activities awaits. Encounter a fire‑breathing dragon, marvel at the bubble wizard, watch mythical street performers, discover magical make‑and‑take crafts, enjoy gentle storytelling, build your own Lego monster and get creative with face painting.

In Princes Gardens, step into the Shed of Stories, where interactive tales, music and laughter fill the air before the shed transforms into a welcoming pop‑up library between sessions. From 12.30pm, the Steamship Circus zone springs into action, inviting budding acrobats and fearless adventurers to try something extraordinary.

On Wellington Street, write a message to your future self at the Post Office of Possibilities, where hopes, dreams and big ideas are always welcome.

In Union Yard, visitors can meet local community organisations and try Juggle Jake’s Circus Skills.

Visitors can also enjoy live music and dancing on two stages and explore delicious world street food stalls, offering flavours from near and far.

Carnival parade

This year’s carnival parade will be a vibrant fairy‑tale spectacle, filled with dazzling costumes and fairy‑tale‑inspired characters. We’re celebrating our town and the unique stories of people from near and far who shape our vibrant community.

The magical procession leaves Princes Hall at 11am and makes its way to the High Street multi‑storey car park, led by Aldershot’s own Queen Victoria, Betty Bryce, guiding a lively parade of more than 1,000 local people.

Apply to take part

We are inviting local businesses, performers, schools and community organisations to take part on the day.
