Victoria Day is back on Saturday 6 June from 10am to 4pm in Aldershot town centre. This year’s theme is ‘folklore and fairy tales’ and we’re ready for a magical day filled with storybook surprises!
What's on
Visit Union Street, Wellington Street and Princes Gardens between 10am and 4pm for a treasure trove of free activities, craft and community stalls, whimsical live entertainment, fair rides and delicious food and drink inspired by fairy tales old and new.
Princes Gardens will be alive with live music, dance and workshops on the bandstand throughout the day, along with magical make‑and‑take crafts, enchanting street theatre, a quiet storytelling area, fair rides and much more. You can also discover our circus skills area and aerial performers beside Princes Gardens Surgery from 12.30pm.
Over on Union Street, meet fantastical stilt walkers, performers from mythical realms, a Giant Bubble Wizard, face painters ready to transform you into dragons or woodland sprites, monster Lego building and plenty more live music and dance.
Carnival parade
The carnival parade will be bigger and more colourful than ever before, filled with vibrant outfits and plenty of fairy tale inspired characters.
The magical parade leaves Princes Hall at 11am and makes its way to the High Street multi‑storey car park, led by Aldershot’s own Queen Victoria, Betty Bryce, guiding a lively procession of more than 1,000 local people.

We are inviting local businesses, performers, schools and community organisations to take part on the day.
