More than 800 year six students from across Aldershot and Farnborough visited the council offices this week to learn some important life lessons as part of the annual Think Safe programme.
The 10-and 11-year-olds were there to hear valuable safety messages on subjects such as personal safety (Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary), fire safety (Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire & Rescue Service), healthy relationships (the Stop Domestic Abuse charity), rail safety (Network Rail/British Transport Police), antisocial behaviour and risky shopping and age restricted products (Rushmoor Borough Council) and heathland safety (Thames Basin Heaths Partnership).
Many thanks to the agencies who took time out to join us and to the students - who behaved impeccably and asked some very relevant questions!
