A new photography exhibition exploring the theme of community and the reasons why local people chose to make Aldershot their home has been launched.
The Beyond the Lens 2 photography project features photos of local artists, sportspeople, business owners, military personnel and everyday heroes, all with their own story to tell about why they chose to call Aldershot home.
Photographer Shaun Jackson took 74 photos of volunteers for this second phase of Beyond the Lens, which was launched at a private event at Karuna Coffee.
The display of images, based on the theme of taking pride in place, is now available to see along an outdoor gallery in Union Street.
The exhibition follows the success of an original Beyond the Lens project exploring different cultures in Aldershot through sharing individual stories. This latest venture arose after more residents came forward with reasons why they call the town home.
