Temporary arrangements for park bookings due to coronavirus (Covid-19)

To keep our parks safe for everyone, we need to make sure that your event meets the current government guidance on mass gatherings.

Any application to use our parks for an event during the pandemic, or while any special measures are in place, is subject to the following:

  • It must meet the latest in Covid-19 law and guidance. This includes that you must put in place measures that control the risks of transmitting Covid-19
  • You must carry out a Covid-secure risk assessment, using the guidance from the Health and Safety Executive
  • Your event risk assessment must take account of any regulations and guidance relevant at the time of the event. It is your responsibility to make sure that any changes in the guidance and regulations are included in the risk assessment, to keep it current
  • Your risk assessment must be available as part of your  planning for you event. We may ask to see this assessment at any time and if we do, you must make it available to us
  • We require permission in advance for you to use our parks for your event therefore you must have submitted to us your Covid-secure risk assessment at least 28 days before the date of the event
  • You must have the correct insurance for the event, including public liability of at least £5 million. You must also provide us with evidence of insurance at least 28 days prior to your event taking place

If we believe that any part of your application or controls you are putting in place fail to meet current law on Covid-19, we have the right to refuse or take away permission to use our parks for you event.

At any time, the circumstances relating to Covid-19 controls may change. Therefore, your event is arranged entirely at your own risk.

For most events, we don't charge you for using our parks, but we will let you know if there are likely to be any extra costs involved.

If your application is successful, we may need to see:
