Rushmoor Community Food Festival

The community food festival is back in Aldershot on Saturday 14 September.

Community Food Festival poster Displays a larger version of this image in a new browser windowThe Rushmoor Community Food Festival is a celebration of food, culture and the borough's rich diversity of communities.

It takes place in the Municipal Gardens, Aldershot from 11.30am to 3.30pm and has been organised by a team of community and faith groups, supported by the council and the West End Centre.

What you can see and do

  • An international food street, boasting 12 different foods from around the globe
  • Music and dance from a range of different cultural groups
  • Craft activities - including  face painting, henna art, willow weaving and French knitting
  • A wellbeing zone that includes wildlife walks, gentle exercise and hand massages
  • A prayer station
  • Storytelling from different cultures

  • The Greater Rushmoor Nepali Community (GRNC)
  • Aldershot Churches Together
  • Aldershot Civic Society
  • Rushmoor Rotary Club
  • The Ahmadiyya Muslim Association
  • The Buddhist Community Centre
  • The Shiva Cultural Centre
  • Communities Fiji Britain
  • The Ghanaian community from Aldershot Pentecostal International Worship Centre 
  • Members of the West Indian, French, and Indonesian communities


Tickets are on sale, priced at £5 for adults, £3 for under tens and free for under-threes with adult ticket holders. Your ticket gives you the chance to sample eight from a choice of 12 different foods.

Only 1,000 tickets are available. Buy now to avoid disappointment. Any unsold tickets will be available to buy on the day at the event in the park.

Getting there

You are encouraged to use public transport or to walk to the event as there is no parking on site. The nearest car parks are The Wellington and the High Street multi-storey car park . If you are a blue badge holder, you will get details of where to park when you buy tickets.

Municipal Gardens play area

On the day of the event, the play area in Municipal Garden will remain open as normal.

Generous sponsorship for the event has come from the National Lottery Awards for All and Grainger plc, along with support in kind from Booker Wholesale UK and the Mimosa Restaurant.
