Terms and conditions for Farnborough calendar competition entries.

Please read the following terms and conditions before sending in your entry into this year's competition:

  • Photographs must be recognisable as having been taken in Farnborough
  • Entrants may submit more than one photo but they must be their own work. Only one entry per person will be selected for the calendar
  • Entries may be supplied in the following format(s):
    • Digital: upload your entry form and a jpeg file (RAW files will not be accepted) to www.rushmoor.gov.uk/calendarcompetition or provide us with a CD containing the jpeg if over 6MB
    • Prints: for reproduction purposes, submissions must be photo quality and a minimum of 10" x 8" (25cm x 20cm)
  • Photos need to be of a high quality for reproduction (preferably high resolution of at least 300 dpi).
  • Unfortunately, we cannot return photographs to entrants
  • The paper entry form must be completed clearly and must be attached with the photograph entry
  • Paper entries should be addressed to: Farnborough Calendar Competition 2020, Princes Hall, Princes Way, Aldershot, Hampshire, GU11 1NX
  • No copyright is transferred to the Rushmoor Borough Council or its sponsors for any works entered or accepted
  • By entering the competition, entrants confirm that they have copyright in the photograph and grant each of Rushmoor Borough Council and the competition sponsor a licence to use, reproduce, exhibit and publish to the public all entries by any means for the purposes of creating and promoting the Farnborough 2020 calendar and promoting the Farnborough calendar competition.  Rushmoor Borough Council will acknowledge the photographer, wherever possible. 
  • The closing date for entries is Friday 27 September 2019
  • Rushmoor Borough Council will select 12 photographs entered as part of this competition to be reproduced in the 2020 Farnborough calendar
  • A panel of judges, appointed by Rushmoor Borough Council, will select the winning entries. The judging panel's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into
  • The winners will be notified, in writing, by Friday 11 October 2019
  • Winners may be invited to take part in publicity to promote the 2020 Farnborough calendar
  • Entrants' names will be published in the calendar alongside the winning entry
  • Rushmoor Borough Council will not otherwise provide any personal details about any entrant to third parties
  • The rules of the competition shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales and entrants will be deemed to have understood them and agree to be bound by them by completing the entry form and entering the competition
  • Rushmoor Borough Council reserves the right to cancel this competition at any stage, if deemed necessary in its opinion, or if circumstances arise outside of its control
