Consultation on the draft St Michael's Abbey Character Appraisal

Give your views on the proposed character appraisal and de-designation for St Michael's Abbey conservation area.

Background

The St. Michael's Abbey conservation area was first designated in 1977 and was reviewed in 1989.

There is currently no Conservation Area Appraisal or Management Plan for this conservation area.

Draft Character Appraisal

We have created a pdf icon draft Character Appraisal for the St Michael's Abbey conservation area [7Mb] to review its special architectural and historic interest.

The draft document proposes de-designating the conservation area. The protection offered to nationally listed buildings within the area, including St Michael's Abbey and its grounds will remain.

Hard copies of the document are available to view at:

  • Rushmoor Borough Council Offices
  • Farnborough Library
  • Aldershot Library

Our offices are currently open by appointment only, so please check before you attend.
