Consultation on the draft Farnborough Hill Character Appraisal and Management Plan

Give your views on the proposed boundary changes, character appraisal and management plan for Farnborough Hill conservation area.

Background

Farnborough Hill is a compact and now mostly residential village focused around the meeting point of several historic routes through the area. The conservation area was first designated in 1977 and amended in 1989.

There is currently no Conservation Area Appraisal or Management Plan for this conservation area.

Draft Character Appraisal and Management Plan

We have created a pdf icon draft Character Appraisal and Management Plan for the Farnborough Hill conservation area [3Mb] to identify the special architectural and historic interest points, which justifies its designation as a heritage asset, the character or appearance of which it is desirable to preserve or enhance.

The draft document proposes to reduce the size of the conservation area and change its name to 'Farnborough Street'.

Hard copies of the document are available to view at:

  • Rushmoor Borough Council Offices
  • Farnborough Library
  • Aldershot Library

Our offices are currently open by appointment only, so please check before you attend.
