Kickstart opportunities in Rushmoor

The Kickstart scheme is a six month paid job with a local employer, which is funded by the government. There are roles available in many different types of businesses and many do not require you to have any previous experience.

To be eligible to apply you need to be:

  • Between 16 and 24 years old
  • Claiming Universal Credit
  • At risk of long term unemployment

Economic Development Assistant - Rushmoor Borough Council

Be part of our economy team and learn about the work we do to support our town centres, local businesses and help our residents to find work.

You will be:

  • Providing general support to the whole team
  • Visiting retailers with our Town Centre Manager answering questions and supporting them
  • Helping us reach our retail, business community and our residents by producing newsletters and creating marketing material for social media

Assistant Market Supervisor - Rushmoor Borough Council

We run several town centre markets and craft fayres and this role will give you the chance to be involved in all parts of the market, including:

  • Setting up the market
  • Undertaking health and safety inspections
  • Taking payments
  • Supporting traders by dealing with office tasks such as taking bookings and dealing with enquires

You will very much be part of the team and will learn a range of practical hands on skills combined with excellent customer service.

Place Protection Administrator - Rushmoor Borough Council

This role provides administrative support to the place protection service who look after licensing, community safety, community patrol and CCTV, giving you the opportunity to see how several departments work. 

You will be:

  • Answering telephone calls and responding to emails
  • Processing licence applications and referring cases to officers
  • Arranging meetings and attending to take notes and manage post meeting actions

Delivery Rider and Warehouse Support - My Town Technologies

As a part of the delivery team, you will be making multiple collections and deliveries daily, using our state of the art branded electric bikes. 

You will be riding all over the Rushmoor Borough, collecting from independent retailers, and delivering to peoples homes, so it is important that you are organised, and most importantly super friendly.

This is a great opportunity to join a business who are truly making a difference, and what is more, you will be crucial to our success. We are planning to grow our team over the coming months, so there will certainly be opportunities for progression.

Assistant - Runways End Outdoor Centre 

As part of the team you will split your time between cleaning and maintaining the facilities and welcoming our school's residential students and families holidaying.

You will be enthusiastic and motivated and believe in the value of good customer service. 

We are looking for an individual who will be able to work through our training process in a positive proactive manner and therefore become operational as soon as possible.
