Rushmoor Talent Quest 2020

This summer, Rushmoor Borough Council's theatre, Princes Hall, is searching for the area's most talented resident, as part of its online 'interval at home' activities.

If you are a local singer, magician, martial artist, yo-yo-er, dancer, musician, acrobat, trampoliner, artist, comedian, actor, film maker, impersonator, cheerleader, hula hooper, BMX trickster or even a keepy-uppy expert, it's time to get practising your skills.

The council is asking residents to submit their talents on video, before the end of August, for a chance to win part of the cash prize pot of £500. But there is a catch, auditionees only have 60 seconds to persuade the judges that they are Rushmoor's most talented resident.

Councillor Marina Munro, the council's Cabinet member for Planning and Economy, said: "We know what a talented bunch Rushmoor residents are, and we want to celebrate this! So join in with the fun and submit your entry for a chance to win one of the grand prizes, but remember you only have 60 seconds to prove you are the deserved winner!"

Auditions are open to everyone who live in Aldershot or Farnborough of any age - it can even be pets that have the talent. Acts will be judged on presentation, content, originality and talent, so it's time to start practising and get your talent recorded on video ready to enter.

The third-place runner-up will win £50, second place will receive £150 and the overall winner will receive the grand prize of £300 and the title of 'Rushmoor's most talented resident 2020'.

Princes Hall Manager David Phillips said: "Over the school holidays we are inviting residents to record their unique talents, special skills or unrivalled abilities and submit them to the first ever digital Rushmoor Talent Quest. We know there's a lot of local talent out there, and we're really looking forward to seeing the submissions"

Visit the Rushmoor Talent Quest page on the Princes Hall's website for more information, and submit your entry before 23 August.
