You can find out more about recycling on our What to put in your blue recycling bin page.

Please fill in the feedback form at the bottom of the page if there is anything missing from this A to Z or you can't find what you are looking for.

    Vegetable peelings

Vegetable peelings can be composted using a home compost bin. You can buy discounted home composting bins by visiting the Get composting website.

We will be offering a separate food waste collection service from autumn 2021. Please see our food waste recycling page for more details.

Until you receive your food waste caddies, if you cannot compost it, please place food waste in your green rubbish bin.

Food waste is diverted from landfill and taken to an energy recovery facility where it helps to generate electricity.
