Summer activities galore!

With school out for the summer, there's lots to do in Aldershot and Farnborough to keep children and young people busy over the long holidays.

And to make it easy to find out what's going on, Rushmoor Borough Council has published a summer activities guide on its website.

There's something for everyone and for all ages, with activities including playschemes, outdoor adventure days, gymnastics, skiing, swimming, arts, craft and drama courses and activities for young people with special needs. Booking is required for some courses and events, while others are free.

Rushmoor Borough Council's Cabinet member for Operational Services, Councillor Maurice Sheehan, said: "There is a huge amount going on in Aldershot and Farnborough this summer, and I am sure there will be something to suit all tastes, whether it is a musical theatre workshop, a holiday club, dancing, cooking or simply enjoying a picnic in one of our lovely parks."

Councillor Sheehan added: "Also don't miss our fantastic town centre events over the summer holidays, starting with Playfest! on Saturday 4 August and the Dinosaur Invasion in Aldershot and Farnborough over the weekend of 18 and 19 August.  There are lots of free family activities to enjoy."

Further information about big events taking place in Aldershot and Farnborough are available on the Rushmoor events diary 2018 web pages.
