Farnborough Airshow - bin collections and traffic information

There will be some changes to bin collections during Airshow week. There will also be a number of road closures and traffic systems.

Bin collections during Airshow week

We will be starting bin collections early on Tuesday 17 July and Friday 20 July so that we can be clear before any road closures or diversions come into place.

Tuesday 17 July bin collections - 6am start

We will be starting all bin collections at 6am in the following roads:

  • Park Road
  • Closeworth Road
  • Gravel Road
  • Matthews Close
  • Salesian View
  • South Street
  • Whites Road

The crews will then move on to their normal route.

Friday 20 July bin collections - 5am start

We will be starting all bin collections at 5am in the following roads:

  • All North Camp roads south of, and including, Reading Road
  • Farnborough Road from the Queens Hotel to the council offices
  • Queensgate
  • Maitland Road

The crews will then move on to their normal route.

Bin collections in other areas

As we are trying to avoid disruption to our bin collection service, we may empty your bins at a slightly different time to normal. Please leave your bins out for collection by 7am on your normal collection day.

Road closures, traffic systems and parking restrictions

There are a number of road closures and traffic systems in place for the Airshow, including one-way systems and a ban on turns in certain roads.

These include the closure of the A323 Fleet Road and Aldershot Road from Monday 9 July to Sunday 22 July between midday and 5pm for safety reasons.

There will be a residents' parking scheme in place in North Camp.

You can find full details of all the road closures, traffic systems and parking information on our Farnborough International Airshow traffic information page.

Keeping the area clean during the Airshow

We will be increasing our street cleaning during the Airshow, particularly on the roads into the borough. We will also be providing extra wheelie bins by the temporary bridge over the Farnborough Road to help keep the borough clean.

If you spot any problems, you can report it to us using our Love Rushmoor mobile app or by contacting our Customer Services team using the contact details on this page.

Visiting the Airshow

If you are visiting the Airshow, we hope you enjoy the day.

You can find more details about getting to the show and the attractions on offer on the Farnborough Airshow website.
