South East Plan

Information about the South East Plan (the regional spatial strategy for the south east).

The South East Plan was adopted in May 2009 and set out a vision for the future of the South East region to 2026. It outlined how the region would respond to challenges such as housing, the economy, transport and protecting the environment.

The Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government laid a Partial Revocation Order before Parliament on 28 February 2013.

This order came into force on 25 March 2013 when the majority of the South East Plan (except for Policy NRM6: Thames Basin Heath SPA) was revoked. As a result, the South East Plan now consists solely of pdf icon Policy NRM6 [1Mb]. This remains a material consideration as part of the development plan in Rushmoor.
